How is moissanite different from a diamond?

- Fire (dispersion): moissanite measures 0.104 against diamond’s 0.044. Dispersion is the splitting of white light into colour, so moissanite throws more than twice the coloured flash of a diamond. Does moissanite last, or does it get cloudy?

So is moissanite worth it?
For most people asking, yes — with clear eyes. You get a genuine lab-created gemstone with more fire and brilliance than diamond by the measurable numbers, a hardness exceeded only by diamond, and optics that never age, typically at a small fraction of the price of comparable carbon.
