Cut in the shape of a butterfly mid-flight, this ring sets a vivid blue moissanite stone at its center — a lab-created gem chosen for its fire, not for pretending to be something it isn't. The band and wings are cast in 925 sterling silver, finished bright to let the stone's color carry the piece rather than the metal. Moissanite's dispersion (0.104) throws more visible fire than a diamond's (0.044), so the blue center stone catches light in flashes as the wings turn with your hand.

Sterling tarnishes; that’s normal and it polishes back. A soft cloth and a dry drawer keep it bright, and because the silver is solid rather than plated, there is no finish to rub through.
The stone is hard — Mohs 9.25 — so what dulls it is film, not scratches: warm water, a drop of mild soap and a very soft brush bring the fire back.
Never ultrasonic cleaners, toothpaste, baking soda, vinegar, bleach, acetone or alcohol — they attack the silver and can dull a stone.
